Very brief bio

  • Born, raised and educated in Moscow, Russia.

  • Used to do pure math, but then switched to more applied fields of computer vision and machine learning.

Research interests

In general - moving towards general AI, with focus on visual perception. More specifically:

  • Neural networks, especially convolutional and up-convolutional networks

  • Unsupervised feature learning from still images and videos

  • Generative modeling of images

  • Perception of motion and 3D with neural networks
